Mont Blanc aka “White Mountain” is the highest peak in western Europe, rising 4,808 m (15,777 ft) above sea level. When the mountain isn’t shrouded in cloud I think you will agree it certainly is an impressive sight. Look closely and you will see mountaineers working there way up the mountain, including a group of ant like figures on the summit. This photo is taken from the panoramic viewing platform atop Aigulle du Midi (3842 m), accessible from Chamonix via the highest vertical ascent cable car in the world.
